With a strong background in project management, teaching, and developing for the web, Dave brings years of experience and tremendous enthusiasm to his work as the principal of dazil Internet Services, a web development and hosting company, with a focus on developing and hosting WordPress based sites.

Prior to founding dazil Internet Services, Dave worked for a large crown corporation as web team lead, and has worked as an instructor and consultant in various capacities.

WordPress has been a highly successful platform for Dazil clients, as it is such an easy to use platform, and can be adapted to fit pretty much any type of website.

Getting to know Glenda Watson Hyatt

Glenda discovered blogging four years ago. In doing so, this insightful and humorous woman, who doctors labeled as “non-verbal” because of her cerebral palsy, found a way to communicate with the world. She found her voice. Known as the Left Thumb Blogger, her warm and welcoming blog increases awareness and understanding for improving accessibility for people with disabilities.

After working for ten years with three levels of government, transit authorities and non-profit organizations to increase the accessibility of their websites for people with disabilities, Glenda is now combining her web accessibility expertise with her passion for blogging and her first-hand experience living with a disability to work with bloggers to create an accessible blogosphere. Using text-to-speech software with PowerPoint to accommodate her significant speech impairment, Glenda delivers powerful presentations wherever she presents.

Getting to know George Plumley

George has been developing websites for himself and others since 1993.

He started blogging back in 2006 and discovered the power of WordPress.

Over time, he realized that the simple admin set up of WP was exactly what his clients needed, when led him to build all his websites using WP. He also does video tutorials for his clients and posts them for everyone to use at seehowtwo.com.

He’s currently finishing a beginner book about WordPress for John Wiley & Sons, due out in November 2009.

Getting to know John Biehler

John Biehler has been blogging in one form or another since the mid-nineties when he first wrote about building a homemade video arcade cabinet on the balcony of his West End apartment.

He spends his days as an e-business analyst for a large corporation and his nights playing with all kinds of technology. His namesake blog is focused on photography and technology where he documents his adventures in film and digital photography, video production and gadget lust.

He’s been interested in photography and filmmaking since high school and has been dabbling with them both ever since when he’s not messing around with his iPhone or some other fancy piece of technology.

Most people call her Miss604 and I am sure this is how she is mostly known around the globe. I prefer to call her Rebecca.

Although she coded her first website in 1997, Rebecca Bollwitt has been blogging about all things Vancouver since 2004 on Miss604.com, and podcasting since 2005.

In 2008 she was listed as one of the top “Web influencers in Vancouver” by NowPublic and the Vancouver Sun, within the top ten “Most influential in Canadian social media” by Profectio.com. A WordPress user since 2006, Rebecca is the co-founder of sixty4media, offering social media consulting services and custom WordPress themes. She recently organized Blogathon Vancouver, the Best of 604 awards, WordCamp Whistler, and Twestival Vancouver.
